Rhapsody Venture Partners is hiring an Analyst to help us bring important scientific inventions to market. Your mission is to find the next startup to join the Rhapsody portfolio! You will nurture and expand cooperation between industry and science-based startups to help bring transformational technologies from lab to market. This position is based in Cambridge, MA.

Your Role:

  • Talk to startups! You will continually source interesting startups and help identify promising technologies.
  • Conduct industry and technology deep dives to help guide investment decisions.
  • Facilitate partnership discussions between startups and industry.
  • Engage with large companies and innovation sources (startups and universities) to support our innovation ecosystem in a structured program.
  • Work directly with a startup in our existing portfolio to support their operational and strategic needs.

You are: 

  • A graduate of a top school with a degree in engineering or in applied science.
  • Curious about the world around you. You are comfortable engaging in purposeful conversations with startup founders to learn their story.
  • At home in the world of science and engineering. 
  • Uninspired by the latest app or back office software “innovation.”
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where decisions are made quickly and you are given broad autonomy to get your work done.
